Edmonton weather: It's arrived! We woke up to the first snowfall of the season

Our temperatures will be taking a dip this week with high's not expected to reach above 0 C and get as cold as -14 C some nights. The first snowfall of the season has occurred in Edmonton, with temperatures expected to drop to -7 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station and as cold as -14 C some nights. This week, temperatures are expected to remain below 0 C and potentially feel as chilly as -12 C. Upwards of 2 cm of snow is expected to fall across the city, with a high of -3 C, but wind chill will make it feel colder. Temperatures will remain around -2 C to -4 C, with lows reaching double digits in the negative temperatures. The weather is also expected to be more unsettled this week, with winds of 20 km/h expected to increase.

A look at Monday’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada. It’s a chilly -7 C at the Edmonton Blatchford weather station with 9 km/h winds out of the northeast.

Our temperatures will be taking a dip this week with highs not expected to reach above 0 C and get as cold as -14 C some nights. Upwards of 2 cm of snow will fall today, with a high of -3 C, but that darn wind chill will make it feel as cold as -12 C.

Temperatures this week will hover around -2 C to -4 C, with lows reaching double digits in the negative temperatures. With the weather changing and the snow arriving, please be safe while out there, folks. Today: Periods of snow. Upwards of 2 cm. Winds gusting from the northeast 20 km/h. High of -3 C. Wind chill near -12 C.

Tonight: Periods of light snow ending this evening then cloudy. Wind northeast 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low of -9 C. Wind chill near -14 C.

Tomorrow: Mainly cloudy. A slight breeze of 15km/h. High of -5 C, but wind chill will make it feel closer to -12 C. UV index 1 or low.
