Hatinder Sharma, 35, charged in the death of Kanika Arora, will make his next court appearance in Superior assignment court on Nov. 7.

The preliminary hearing got underway in the Ontario Court of Justice at the Sudbury Courthouse on Oct. 3 and had been scheduled to run for a total of seven days, wrapping up on Oct. 24.

There is a ban on publication with the preliminary hearing, which featured a mix of virtual and in-person witnesses.

Hindi, Punjabi and Farsi interpreters were all expected to be required.
